What's to love?
- The iPhone/iPod is the worlds first truly usable all in one imaging device. You can capture an image or video, edit it & upload it to the web all from 1 device, anywhere you can get a net connection. Never has anything enabled you to so easily record & share your life's memories & at such low cost.
- iPhographers may take upwards of 100 pictures a day each, now compare that to the cost of purchasing, developing film & buying albums plus duplicates to send to family & friends & postage
- The Impressionist painters limited their palettes to free up their creativity & expression, we also like the iPhone/iPod's lack of settings. Truly a "Point-&-Click" camera. But if you do want something more featured then each person can customise their images, video & iPhography experience with Apps & almost everyday there are new apps extending iPhographic possibilities
- Unpredictability is the spice of life. Just like Lomography & Polaroid's sometimes it's the faults & glitches we come to love. It’s what’s wrong with an iPhograph (or any kind of photography) that makes it so interesting. Is it blurry, is it to light or to dark or to saturated or to monochrome? Is the perspective wonky, are people looking a bit warped or out of place? If you don’t believe it, go look at a perfectly taken photograph with everything exactly as you would see it in real life & you will soon realise how boring it is. You may be thinking “But I love those hyper realism photographs” Exactly! They are HYPER REAL. It’s what we boost, reduce, add, remove, exaggerate or understate that makes the image. In real life our eyes are only capable of focusing & seeing a very very small part of the scene but how they make up for it is by doing it very very often, thousands of times a minute. This is what iPhography should be. Millions of images of things that make up the big picture of your life
Examples of some iPhone/iPod's glitches we love (some of these glitches haven't appeared with recent updates)

- Unlike film, EXIF data will keep the time & date for future reference & the iPhone even has GPS to locate where you took it!
- Many people & places will ask you to stop taking pictures when you whip out a camera, but no one bats an eyelid when you take out your iPhone/iPod (other than 2 admire it) allowing you to record more of your life's moments, in more places, with more spontaneity
- iPhography allows us to record & share the world in much more detail & to remember all of the people you meet, the places you go & the things you see & do
- Its always with you!!! how often do you forget your phone versus how often you forget your camera??
- Obvious but still needs to be said - The iPhones touch screen is gorgeous
